Want to become a member of Psi Chi? The application steps are very easy!
1) Pick up a Psi Chi application from the Peer Advising Office (STB 141) on the first floor of Straub.
2) Fill it out and submit it back to the Peer Advising office.
3) That's it! If you meet the GPA and credit requirements, your application will be approved by our Membership Chair and you will be contacted. The GPA cutoffs are by class (and are designed to correlate with the top 35% of your respected class level):
Freshmen- 3.00 or above
Sophomores- 3.29 or above
Juniors- 3.27 or above
Seniors- 3.36 or above
The spring term admittance deadline has passed, but we are accepting applications year-round, so feel free to submit an app at any time and it will be processed for the Fall 2013 term.
By gaining admittance in the UO Psi Chi Chapter, you will have close proximity to other peers who are equally serious about their academic success in the field of psychology. Membership also entitles you to special seminars/workshops organized by Psi Chi, and Psi Chi honors cords upon graduating.
If you have any questions about the application process, please contact our Membership Chair, Jackie Tieu ([email protected]).
